You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com or through the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly and to help us understand how visitors use the Site. Cookies are small text files stored on your device.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or be notified when cookies are being set. Note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Site.

If you provide your email address, we may send you marketing emails about our services, promotions, and updates. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time by clicking that link or by contacting us at the address below.
Opting out of marketing emails does not stop transactional emails — for example, appointment confirmations, repair updates, or responses to your direct inquiries.
6. Your Rights Under California Law
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
Right to Know. You have the right to request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the purposes for which we use it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
Right to Delete. You have the right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (for example, when we need to keep information to complete a transaction, comply with a legal obligation, or detect fraud).
Right to Correct. You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing. We do not sell your personal information. However, certain online advertising activities (such as Google Ads conversion tracking) may be considered "sharing" under California law. You have the right to opt out of this sharing.
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined under California law.
Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
How to Exercise Your Rights. To submit a request, contact us using either of the methods below:

You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may require written authorization and verification of the agent's identity.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the personal information we collect from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

A few practical notes before you publish:
Confirm privacy@dasaautoworks.com is actually set up. If someone emails a privacy request to an inbox that doesn't exist, you have a compliance problem. If the email isn't live yet, get your web/hosting provider to create it before the policy goes live, or substitute the general contact email you use for the rest of the site.
The "right to opt out of sharing" language is now in the policy, but you don't yet have a mechanism for users to actually exercise it. Once you start running Google Ads, you should add either:
A "Your Privacy Choices" link in the website footer, OR
A cookie consent banner that lets users decline non-essential cookies
Without one of these, you've promised a right in the policy that users can't easily exercise. Termly, Cookiebot, and Osano all offer free or cheap solutions.
Add a footer link to this policy from every page of the site. Standard placement is in the footer next to "Terms of Service" and "Contact." Many ad platforms require the privacy policy to be accessible from every page.
Have a lawyer review before publication if budget allows. I drafted this carefully, but California privacy enforcement is active and an attorney review for $300-500 is cheap insurance for a service business. At minimum, run the final version past whoever handles your business's legal matters.
Update the "Last Updated" date whenever you change anything material. Common reasons to update: adding Meta Pixel, switching CRM providers, adding chat widgets, starting SMS marketing, accepting online payments.
